Trace the major sections of the book, consider the purpose and historical context of the book and study the major events in Acts of the Apostles, early church and the Holy Spirit. The start of Christianity as a sequel to the four Gospels is examined. Apply the biblical concepts of material presented in Acts to your personal Christian life and local church.

This course examines the principles and practice of those in the church expanding influence to neighborhoods, communities and worldwide. Students will be challenged to first minister locally then regionally and then throughout the world. This course examines the principles and practice of servant leadership with practical application in contemporary leadership and management settings. Servant leadership as Jesus modeled will be studied along with the example Paul set throughout his ministry. Specific implications and applications are made to practical real-life by developing a strategy for immediately applying servant leadership.

This course presents a panoramic view of basic practical skills and knowledge essential for ministry leaders who can respond to counseling needs within their respective ministry. A solid biblical foundation is studied so that students can implement these practical principles and techniques into their own life and ministry.

104 – Life of Christ (Sermon on the Mount)

This course will focus on the longest teaching of Jesus as recorded in Matthew 5-7. It will examine the major themes of the Sermon on the Mount with the goal of practical application in life and ministry.

This course examines the week Jesus spent just before his crucifixion and specific to his sufferings beginning in the Garden of Gethsemane and continuing to his death on the cross.??Details specific to what happened to him and his disciples then and afterwards will be examined. Practical application is made to contemporary ministry settings.

This course presents a panoramic view of the chief events, main themes, traditions, outstanding teachings, and historical and geographical cultural contexts of Paul?s letters written to the church. The student will grasp how each book as a unit builds the church and its activities so that the student can implement these principles into their own life and ministry.

This course introduces the Christian worldview and spiritual formation.? It examines what worldview is and how it affects our thinking and our actions.??From a Christian worldview, the process of spiritual formation is studied as it applies to individuals and the church.??Practical application is made to contemporary ministry settings.

401 – Preaching & Teaching

Start Date: September 23, 2019

Students will develop a message from their biblical exegesis done in the Bible?Interpretation?class. Thus, that class is a prerequisite for this one. Students will also learn the art of delivering a message that will move and challenge listeners to action.

103 – Old Testament Survey

Start Date: September 23, 2019

This course presents a panoramic view of the chief events, prominent characters, main themes, traditions, outstanding teachings, and historical and geographical cultural contexts of the Old Testament. The student will grasp the Old Testament as a whole and each book as a unit, building a strong understanding of the Hebrew people as seen in the Old Testament so that the student can implement these principles into their own life and ministry.

102 – New Testament Survey

This course presents a panoramic view of the chief events, prominent characters, main themes, traditions, outstanding teachings, and historical and geographical cultural contexts of the New Testament.? The student will grasp the New Testament as a whole and each book as a unit, building a strong understanding of the?Gospels, the early church and the?return of Christ?so that the student can implement these principles into their own life and ministry.

203 – Interpreting the Bible

Start Date: August 12, 2019

This course examines the analysis, processes and methods of gaining the most accurate and valid interpretation of passages of the Bible.? Focus will be on integrating various thoughts in the Bible to accomplish understanding and application. Usage of research tools will also be demonstrated.
